Riley Black - Author The Last Days of the Dinosaurs - Riley Black Riley Black has been a fossil fanatic since the time she was knee-high to a Stegosaurus and turned her fascination into a prolific career writing about prehistoric life. Her latest book, The Last Days of the Dinosaurs, won the AAAS/Subaru prize for Excellence in Science Books, and her next book When the Earth Was Green will be published next year by St. Martin's Press. In addition to multiple other books, Riley regularly writes science news for publications such as National Geographic and Smithsonian, has appeared as an expert on NOVA, and has been a repeat guest on radio programs such as All Things Considered and Science Friday. When not enthusing about fossils for the public, Riley joins museum crews in the search for new fossils every summer and has contributed significant finds to paleontology collections across the country. She is presently located in Salt Lake City, Utah. More about Riley |
